Muslims will soon outnumber Christians worldwide

This same analysis concludes that by 2100, Islam will become the most followed religion across the world.
The Muslim community is thought to increase at double the rate of the world’s population, which in turn is expected to grow by 35% over the next 40 years.

The Pew Research Center’s report said: ‘Religions with many adherents in developing countries – where birth rates are high and infant mortality rates generally have been falling – are likely to grow quickly.
By 2050, current trends show that less than 50 per cent of the populations of the UK, Australia, France and the Netherlands will be Christian.
The global number of atheists and agnostics is believed to actually decline over the next four decades from 16 to 13 per cent.
Buddhism will also suffer a decline over the same time period by 0.3 per cent.
